“WHOLE”

“Whole” is my first single of 2023 and the introduction to the next era of *Carrington Kelso*. This single was written as a means of escape and manifestation. I knew I needed a change and I begged the Universe for a sign; and boy did I get it. Although it started off very reflective, it has evolved into a bit of a mantra: “"When I fall, Love will make us Whole”. My hope for every listener is to find love that makes them feel whole, even if you have to give it to yourself.

Love is such a mysterious force in the Universe. It brings out the best in us, and sometimes the worst. “First, We Fall” is a story about love, lust and everything in between. It was written from a place of personal experience as Queer love is rarely the focus of music; and when it is it is often from a place of shame or unrequited love.

When I was writing “First, We Fall”, I wanted to express the lust of seeing someone at the club and wanting to be with them; if for a night or for the rest of your life. I wanted to talk about sex as a means of liberation and beauty. I wanted to be 1000% free and I could not be more proud of how this project turned out.
